Search Bible Classes

The search function searches Bible class descriptions and transcripts. When the search function finds the search word or phrase, you will be presented with links to the classes that contain those words. The link will take you to the class audio page. If you want to find where the search phase is located in the Bible class transcript, click on the Transcript:read link to view the transcript. Once in the transcript window, type Ctrl-F (PC) or Cmd-F (Mac) to enter the word or phrase in the browser search box, and it will show you all occurrences of your search word(s).

Search Tips

  • Entering a search string with no other criteria (such as AND, NOT, or quote marks) will return some of the context around the words you entered (which are highlighted) as well as a link to the audio player for the class.
That page will also have links to the video, transcript, and slides for that class.

  • Entering two search terms separated by the word AND will return links to all items which contain both of those terms as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering two terms separated by the word NOT will return links to all items which contain the first term but not the second term as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering a search string in quotes will return links to items that contain the exact phrase as well as part of the description of each class.

What is the most significant passage of prophecy in the Bible? Listen to this lesson to learn about Jesus’ Olivet discourse to the Jews. Understand that He is not giving one single word of prophecy to those of us living in the Church Age. Listen to a flyover that breaks down this message in its historical setting and context. Hear the questions the disciples asked Jesus. Find out what a “sign” question means. See which parts of the message were fulfilled in AD 70 and which are still future. See that trusting in Christ as Savior is the way to avoid any of the catastrophic events that are prophesied.

Passage: Matthew 24:3
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 45 mins 19 secs
Would you like to know what’s going to happen in the future? Listen to this lesson to hear what Jesus said about things that would occur. Hear the answers to questions that help us understand His prophecies and find out how the disciples were amazed when He told them the Temple would be destroyed. See that part of Jesus’ prophecy was fulfilled soon after He spoke those words but most is still to occur in the future. See that we can relax and trust God even in the midst of judgment and that our job is to fulfill our mission of telling others about the gospel message.

Passage: Matthew 24:29-33
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 56 mins 56 secs
Nearly everyone is interested in what will happen in the future but there is little agreement on the subject. Listen to this lesson to hear about two future events, one only for believers and the other for all the inhabitants of the earth at the time. Find out that Jesus is talking about His future return to earth in the Olivet Discourse. Hear the distinctions between the Rapture and the Second Coming and that our response should be a reminder that all believers should be living their lives in light of eternity.

Passage: Matthew 24:1-44 & Luke 21:21-36
Series: Holy Week (2020)
Duration: 1 hr 16 mins 6 secs
Is Coronavirus God’s judgment on the world? Listen to this lesson to learn that we can only know if something is a judgment of God’s if His Word reveals it to be a judgment. Find out that our calamities are a result of living in a fallen world, but God uses the adversities to get mankind’s attention. Find out two important questions the disciples ask Jesus and see a prophetic panorama of the future. Knowing this we should remain calm and relaxed as we live under God’s protection no matter what is happening.

Passage: 2 Peter 3:3-7
Series: 2 Peter (2019)
Duration: 1 hr 15 mins 10 secs

Does any of the Olivet Discourse refer to the Church Age? Listen to this message to learn the reasons why Matthew 24 refers to the Second Coming of Christ. Hear passages in the Old Testament where the prophecies about the Messiah are divided between Christ’s first and second comings. Begin a study of what Peter is discussing when he expresses an answer to the scoffer’s remarks about why Christ hasn’t returned using an example from creation in Genesis.

During this lesson Dr. Dean mentioned an excellent resource on the age of the Earth available from the Institute of Creation Research regarding an 8-year research project called RATE: Radioisotopes and the Age of The Earth.

He also mentioned presentations on the Olivet Discourse that were given by Jeremy Thomas and Dr. Dean at the 2017 Pre-Trib Study Group Conference.
