Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Passage: Colossians 3:20-21 & Ephesians 6:1-4
Duration: 53 mins 49 secs
The family is another of God’s Divine Institutions. It is a part of God’s absolute social law built into the fabric of a social human being who is created in the image of God. It has been in decline since the middle of the 20th century. Even conservatives are saying they need to separate social ideas from economic ideas in order to address other voting blocks, but the breakdown of marriage and family has wide economic consequences which are an integral part of economic realities. In Rome, in Paul’s day, family values had deteriorated, resulting in the increase of abuse of children and women. In what way does the Bible view children as arrows in the hand of a warrior? How is the reality of a Triune God related to absolute unity and distinction in marriage and family? See how a self-absorbed generation paves the road for destruction of a nation.

Passage: Romans 15:7-13
Duration: 57 mins 34 secs
Squabbling. Sparring. Bickering. Sounds like a scene from an action movie but it's too often a description of Church history. Listen to this lesson to learn how the Apostle Paul is urging Christians to unite and always treat others with respect. See that while we are to accept one another, true unity must be based on accurate doctrine. Apply the virtues of kindness, tenderheartedness, and humility in your dealings with others and never fight over unimportant issues which are not specifically mentioned in the Word of God. Understand that Christian fellowship is first a result of a right relationship with God and then with other believers.

Passage: Romans 15:8-13
Duration: 1 hr 1 mins 10 secs
Do you know any troublemakers? Listen to this lesson to learn what the Apostle Paul has to say about people in the church who cause trouble by holding to false beliefs. Understand that there will be controversies and that some people may have to be excluded but this should be done with gentleness. Follow Paul's use of Old Testament scripture to explain that Christ came into the world to be a servant to Israel. See that His becoming a servant illustrates that the path to greatness is through humility, which is obedience to authority. Notice that Gentiles, too, have reason to praise God for all He has done for them.

Passage: Ephesians 4:1-6:9
Duration: 51 mins 28 secs
How should believers conduct their lives in light of what we have been studying in the first three chapters of Ephesians? Listen to this lesson to learn that Paul has outlined a code of conduct for us as we explore the next section of the Book. See that this behavior consists of a number of commands which are binary, meaning that they are either/or commands clearly expressed. Be challenged to be willing to walk in this path that leads to spiritual maturity.

Passage: Ephesians 4:3
Duration: 55 mins 50 secs
What does it mean to make the unity of the spirit a priority in your life? Listen to this lesson to learn that the Holy Spirit establishes the unity of the body of Christ but that we have the responsibility to maintain it by growing to spiritual maturity. Hear a review of the characteristics of Christian love and how it contributes to this unity. Learn the meaning of the bond of peace and see the importance of discernment in dealing with worldviews that seek to divide believers.

Passage: Philippians 2:5-11
Duration: 1 hr 11 mins 27 secs
One of the most difficult concepts for our finite minds to understand is that of the Trinity. Listen to this message to learn that God is a unity and there is not more than one God but there are three Persons in the Godhead. Hear a number of passages both in the Old Testament and the New Testament that refer to this unity and name the personages. See that Christ not only pre-existed mankind but had eternality like the other Members of the Trinity. Realize that as you listen and study these passages you will begin to get a glimmer of who Jesus was before His Incarnation, during His Incarnation and is now.

Passage: Philippians 2:12-18
Duration: 1 hr 4 mins 55 secs
What does it mean to work out your own salvation? Listen to this message to learn that you need to understand three meanings for salvation in the Bible. See that this passage is referring to believers in Philippi who were not working as a team but were griping and arguing with one another. They needed to stop doing that and work together in unity. Be challenged to remove the mental attitude sins in your own life as you work with other believers.
