Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Passage: 2 Peter 2:9-11
Duration: 1 hr 14 mins 42 secs
Are you getting too comfortable with the pagan worldview around you? Listen to this lesson to be reminded that God always punishes the ungodly but delivers those who believe in Him. Hear a description of those who are guided by the lusts of their sin natures. See what message and ideas false teachers are bringing. Keep in mind that although we live in the devil’s world we can stand firm and know that God is protecting us.

Passage: Ephesians 4:25
Duration: 53 mins 52 secs

Are you aware you’re living in a war zone? A war zone of competing worldviews? Listen to this message to learn about two prominent worldviews that may be influencing you more than you know. The first of these is called Modernism, which stresses that reason and logic are all that were necessary to live a good life. This view was discredited by the devastation of the first World War. The worldview that followed it and is current today is called Postmodernism. Learn how its goal is to bring utopia to this world through social change. In contrast to these false worldviews is the biblical view that man is helpless to save himself, but God’s plan for mankind is to redeem him through Christ’s death on the Cross when we trust in Him. Finish this lesson with a study of who the “one another” in Ephesians refers to and the importance of the body of Christ called the Church.

During this message Dr. Dean referenced the book The Death of Truth by David McCallum.

Passage: Judges 17-18
Duration: 1 hr 4 mins 51 secs

Are there many ways of worship? Listen to this message to learn that God says there is only one way and He sets out the specifics. Hear about a man named Micah who set up an alternate idolatrous religion in Israel and the chaos that followed. As believers we are to see the world as God has defined it and not follow man’s viewpoint.

During this message Dr. Dean referred to research from Arizona Christian University.
