Passage: Colossians 2:10-11
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 56 mins 6 secs
As we continue learning more and more about walking in Christ, we must examine how the meaning of life is defined. Is it determined by what gives us our own personal sense of pleasure? When we suffer, do we get the feeling that God is perhaps withholding from us something good we would otherwise experience? And do we think we know what it takes to solve our own problems?

As we grapple with today's worldviews of self-sufficiency, we learn more in this lesson what God's Word means by the word "sufficient."

See how living by God's truths leads to stability, contentment, and happiness that doesn't depend on what's going on around us. Coronation Day! Long live the king! At last the people of Israel had the king they wanted. Hear Samuel’s speech as he reminds them of the covenant God had with them and the warning of what would happen if they weren’t obedient. See how he emphasizes God’s faithfulness to them but assures them that a part of God’s grace is discipline. Learn about the pattern the people were following and ask yourself is you are putting the details and pleasures of life first in your life instead of growing to spiritual maturity.

Moral Relativism Destroys a Nation

What happens to a country when it abandons God and each one does what is right in his own eyes? Listen to this lesson to hear the example of Israel when it went off the rails and had to learn lessons in the school of hard knocks. Find out there are three sections in the book and hear about the leaders, called judges, who descended into paganism and led the people astray. See how what happened to those people parallels in many ways what we are facing in our country today. As we study these people in the Bible we can be thankful for the lessons we can learn and remind ourselves that God in His grace rewards even our smallest acts of faithfulness to Him.

Passage: Judges
Series: Judges (2021)
Duration: 1 hr 6 mins 7 secs
Why should we study Judges? Isn’t it just an old history of people who messed up their lives long ago? Listen to this lesson to learn that the context of the Book of Judges describes a nation much as our nation and other nations in the world are today. Hear a review beginning in Genesis of the first six books of the Bible to see how mankind after the Fall continued to defy God over and over again and reap the horrible consequences that come with that. Find out four life-changing lessons we can learn from Judges that apply to our lives today and show us how we are to live in a pagan nation so we can fulfill God’s plan while depending on His never-failing grace.
