Search Bible Classes

The search function searches Bible class descriptions and transcripts. When the search function finds the search word or phrase, you will be presented with links to the classes that contain those words. The link will take you to the class audio page. If you want to find where the search phase is located in the Bible class transcript, click on the Transcript:read link to view the transcript. Once in the transcript window, type Ctrl-F (PC) or Cmd-F (Mac) to enter the word or phrase in the browser search box, and it will show you all occurrences of your search word(s).

Search Tips

  • Entering a search string with no other criteria (such as AND, NOT, or quote marks) will return some of the context around the words you entered (which are highlighted) as well as a link to the audio player for the class.
That page will also have links to the video, transcript, and slides for that class.

  • Entering two search terms separated by the word AND will return links to all items which contain both of those terms as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering two terms separated by the word NOT will return links to all items which contain the first term but not the second term as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering a search string in quotes will return links to items that contain the exact phrase as well as part of the description of each class.

Series: 1 Peter (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 5 mins 42 secs
No one disputes the presence of evil in the world, but there is great disagreement about why evil is in the world. Listen to this lesson to hear evil’s origin. Find out that God did not create evil but He has given His creatures free will, which allows them to choose whether to obey or disobey Him. Hear nine reasons why Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14 are referring to Satan and not a human being. See a description of Satan who was created as an amazing cherubim but a shift came in Satan’s thinking and he became self serving and evil. Understand that through God’s grace we are free to choose to obey God and believe in Christ as our Savior.

Passage: 1 Peter 5:8-10
Series: 1 Peter (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 2 mins 8 secs
Take a moment to visualize Satan. Do you see a devilish creature with red skin, horns, a tail, and a pitchfork? Listen to this lesson to learn that Satan (also referenced as Lucifer) was a magnificent angelic creature called a cherub who covered the throne of God. See that he was a skilled musician and ruled over the other cherubs. Hear the five arrogant statements he made which led to his condemnation and being cast out of his exalted position. Find out the identities of the prince of Tyre and the king of Tyre and how Satan is behind the throne of evil human leaders. Recognize that our lives are lived in the midst of this warfare and that at times we suffer for this reason.
