Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

2 Peter (2019)

2 Peter (2019)

May 2019 - October 2021

“Fake News” has become an often-used term since the 2016 election in the USA. In the days of the early church, the problem became fake teachers. Fake teachers taught fake doctrine, fake theology. Fake teaching and fake theology lead to an impotent and phony spiritual life—a pseudo spirituality which has eternal consequences for the individual.

In this short epistle Peter warns of the soon-to-come false teachers in the churches who will lead people astray and will destroy spiritual lives and churches. However, before he developed that theme, he first reminded his readers of the foundation of faith, that they might be forearmed to stand against the Satanic counterfeits that would soon come and then, as now, take captive those believers who were still willingly in bondage to their sin natures. This study will open your eyes to the dangers and deceptions Satan instigates and the only true solution, growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
